You can save a significant amount of money and time by doing this routine maintenance yourself. You still need to have the general maintenance done at a certified facility (500 hrs and 1,000 hrs), but you can surely do all the other regular oil changes yourself.
For example, if you own an Onan diesel generator with a frequency of 150 hrs in between oil changes, and if you run your generator for 1,000 hours a year, that means that you could do 5 regular oil changes yourself. Several other brands and models of generators will need an oil change more frequently = even more savings if you do them yourself.
If you pay to have it done: Approximately $125 per oil change = $625 for 5 oil changes
If you do it yourself: Approximately $40 for 1 oil change using the highest quality parts and oil = $200 for 5 oil changes
Possible savings of $425+ a year
Not only will you save money, but you'll also save a lot of time and stress, as you can do this task on your own time, you won't have to show up at a garage during their opening hours and stop your business, meaning stop making money to go spend money.
Once you get the hang of it, it might take you 45 to 60 minutes to prepare all your supplies, do the oil change, and clean up after. When having it done at a garage, some groomers wait up 2 to 3 hours if the garage is running behind, or for any other similar reasons that are out of your control.
At the workshop, you'll be given a brochure to guide you through each step, as well as give you a list of required supplies. The guide is filled with pictures and explanations.
By doing your own oil changes, you're winning on all fronts. Don't wait and SIGN UP for your this workshop today!
